What a Week!!!

I know we say this every week, but last week was absolutely EPIC!!! Whilst we are used to hosting fantastic gigs, there was something about last week that felt like pre-covid times. Maybe it was the sunshine, maybe the bank-holiday spirit, or maybe that it was the 1st Easter weekend that we had been able to celebrate in 3 years, but whatever it was, it was pure magic! We had a full house at Wednesdays quiz, Thursday we just opened as a bar and we were full with people making the most of the bank holiday. Friday we had an awesome gig from The 2Tone All Ska's which not only sold out, but could have sold out twice over, Saturday we were jam-packed for an amazing night of rock classics from V8 and by Sunday we were broken and we had a lovely, chilled afternoon, communally nursing our hangovers with some great tunes, coffee and a cheeky hair of the dog! But, as we explained last week, as utterly fantastic as this all is to report, we are unable to be complacent. Until trade for all events is consistently banging and the non-event trade increases, we will still need to be kicking our emergency plans into action to save (what is, in our own, humble opinion) the greatest little venue in the history of great little venues, in the whole of Leighton Buzzardshire!

We have been busy working behind the scenes and we will soon be releasing details of our #SaveFromExtinction campaign that will be ready to launch from May. The campaign will include long-term projects such as the launch of our 1st floor escape room this Summer, the introduction of a weekend food option (amazing Pieminster pie & mash street food) and Crow merchandise that will be available on our website (with limited stock available from the bar) as well as a schedule of one off fundraising events: Crow Fest, Rum & Reggae Fest, Robin Hood The Musical & The Crow Tournaments. A huge THANKYOU to everyone who has popped down to offer words of support over the last week. It is good to know that you love the bar as much as we do and we have every hope that together we can survive! #WeLoveItWhenAPlanComesTogether

Whilst we work on getting the campaign up and running, you can still help us by continuing to be the bloody awesome Crow Brothers & Sisters that you are and spread the word about The Crooked Crow Bar. Tell your neighbours, your friends, your parole officer or anyone that will listen! Leave us a Google review, share our social media posts and (most importantly), come and give your liver a spanking at one of our fantastic upcoming events...

PLUS: We have some great news...

On Thursday 5th March we have an evening with Spike from The Quireboys. Last time Spike played it was AMAZING!!!! It was an intimate gig and he told stories of his rock n roll life and sang some of the songs that had inspired him. We are SO looking forward to being able to do this again. BUT as if the night couldn't get any better... we can now announce that Paul-Ronney Angel (lead singer of the Urban Voodoo Machine) will be supporting the show with his incredible solo acoustic set. We have been lucky enough to have Paul Ronney Angel play at The Crooked Crow Bar before, and trust us when we say: YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS THIS!!! It is going to be EPIC!!!

All details and ticket links for all our gigs up to the end of the month are currently on our website and the listings for May will be up by the end of this week, so keep your eyes peeled!
